'연봉 삭감 거절' 산체스, 그를 원하는 팀이 없다..'착잡한 맨유'

영국 매체 ‘메트로’는 7일(현지시간) “맨유는 올 여름 산체스를 매각하려고 하지만 산체스는 자신의 천문학적인 연봉 삭감을 거절했다. 산체스의 연봉을 감당할 수 있는 클럽은 거의 없을 것이다”라고 전했다.

더 착잡한 쪽은 맨유다. 고액 연봉자인 산체스를 내보낸 뒤 제이든 산초(보루시아 도르트문트)를 비롯한 젊고 유망한 선수를 영입하려고 계획 중이지만 산체스가 연봉 삭감을 거부하면서 그를 원하는 팀이 없다.

‘메트로’는 “올레 군나르 솔샤르 감독의 계획에 포함되지 않는다는 말을 들었음에도 산체스는 맨유로 돌아갈 수밖에 없다. 코로나19 바이러스 사태가 아니더라도 산체스의 현재 연봉을 감당할 수 있는 클럽은 거의 없다”라고 설명했다.

산체스와 맨유의 잔여 계약 기간은 2년이다. 연봉을 삭감한다면 맨유에 잔류하겠다는 산체스의 의지가 워낙 크기에 맨유는 발만 동동 구를 수밖에 없는 상황이다.
