(서울=연합뉴스) 하남직 기자 = 프로배구 여자부 구단이 샐러리캡(연봉 총상한)을 14억원에서 옵션캡 5억원을 포함해 23억원으로 올린다.

한국배구연맹(KOVO)은 '여자부 샐러리캡 현실화와 투명성 확보'를 목표로 샐러리캡 제도 개선을 시도했고, 결론을 냈다.

KOVO는 9일 서울시 마포구 상암동에서 이사회를 열고 여자부 샐러리캡을 2019-2020시즌 14억원에서 2020-2021시즌 샐러리캡 18억원, 옵션캡 5억원 등 총 23억으로 올리기로 했다.

그동안 KOVO는 샐러리캡만 정하고, 여자부 구단들은 사실상 제한 없는 옵션을 계약서에 포함했다.

KOVO 이사회는 '여자부 샐러리캡의 현실화, 투명화'를 목표로 내세우며 샐러리캡 인상과 '옵션캡' 신설을 결정했다. 옵션도 '제도' 안으로 편입한 셈이다.

KOVO는 "투명성을 확보하고자, 시즌 종료 뒤에 전문가에게 선수의 원천징수 집행 여부를 검증하게 할 것"이라고 밝혔다.

승리 수당 최대 3억원은 별도다. 결국, 우승팀이 2020-2021시즌에 선수 연봉과 보너스로 쓸 수 있는 최대 금액은 26억원이다.

여자부 선수 한 명이 받을 수 있는 최대액은 연봉 4억5천만원, 옵션 2억5천만원 등 총 7억원이다.
