'코로나 여파→급여 삭감 권고' 네이마르, 주급 60만 파운드에서 '반토막'

네이마르(28, 파리 생제르망)도 코로나 여파로 인한 임금 삭감을 피하지 못했다.

글로벌 스포츠 매체 ESPN은 10일(한국시간) "프랑스 프로축구선수연맹(UNFP)과 기획재정부가 구단과 선수에 대한 일시적인 임금 삭감에 대한 권고안을 합의했다"고 전했다.

이어 "네이마르는 60만 파운드(약 9억)의 엄청난 주급이 반으로 삭감되는 것을 확인했다"며 "긴급한 상황으로 일시적인 현상이다"는 필립 피아트 UNFP 회장의 언급을 덧붙였다.

현재 전 세계는 중국발 코로나 바이러스로 타격을 입었다. 대규모 인원이 운집하는 이벤트, 행사가 줄줄이 취소됐다.

축구도 이를 피하지 못했다. 특히, 유럽의 확산세가 빨라 각국 리그가 중단을 결정하면서 강제 휴식기에 돌입했다.

이로 인해 많은 클럽들은 재정 악화에 부딪혔다. 입장, 광고 수익이 없어 운영에 영향을 끼치고 있고, 바르셀로나, 바이에른 뮌헨, 유벤투스 등이 선수들의 임금 삭감을 결정했다.

프랑스도 분위기를 따랐고, 역시 선수들의 임금 삭감을 진행하기로 했다.
