잉스는 외질이 산체스를 빛나게 했다고 평가했다. 그는 "산체스가 아스널에서 잘했던 것의 대부분은 외질과 연관됐다. 그들은 한쌍으로, 텔레파시가 통하는 것처럼 본능적으로 서로를 이해했다. 보지도 않고 움직일 정도였다"라고 말했다.
