"마네, 살라 떠나면 미나미노 시대 온다" 日의 안타까운 정신 승리

2020/2021시즌은 미나미노 타쿠미가 리버풀의 주역이 될까?

일본 언론이 미나미노의 밝은 전망을 했다. 일본 ‘풋볼존’은 22일 영국 ‘풋볼 팬 캐스트’를 인용해 “사디오 마네, 호베르투 피르미누, 모하메드 살라가 모두 이적 가능성이 있다”면서 “누가 리버풀을 떠날지는 모르나 성사된다면 미나미노가 결과를 낼 시대가 올 것이다”라고 전했다.

미나미노는 지난 1월 잘츠부르크에서 리버풀로 이적했다. 그는 이적 후 7경기에 나섰으나 단 하나의 골과 도움도 올리지 못한 채 후보 선수 신세를 면치 못하고 있다.

하지만 ‘풋볼존’은 “마네는 레알 마드리드의 러브콜을 받고 있고, 피르미누는 바이에른 뮌헨의 이적 제안을 받을 전망이다. 살라도 레알의 관심을 받고 있다”라면서 현재 리버풀 공격을 책임지고있는 이들이 이적할 때는 미나미노에게 자연스럽게 기회가 올 것이라고 내다봤다.

그러면서 “’풋볼 팬 캐스트’는 미나미노가 중요한 선수가 될 것이라 주장한다”며 미나미노가 다음 시즌에는 리버풀에서 큰 역할을 맡을 것이라고 했다.

하지만 이는 희망 사항에 그칠 공산이 크다. 리버풀이 공격수들을 내보내면 그에 걸맞은 또 다른 공격수를 영입하는 것은 당연하기 때문이다. 전력이 약화한 상태로 새로운 시즌에 임할 가능성은 극히 낮다.

그렇기에 ‘풋볼존’의 기대와 달리 다음 시즌에도 미나미노의 상황이 달라질 것이라 보기는 어렵다. 일본 언론들의 희망 고문도 계속될 전망이다.
